Beliefs

The Bible

2 Timothy 3:16

We believe that the Bible is the perfect Word of God and the Bible (not tradition, or human invention) is the authority within the church. "Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we are silent."

The Father

John 14:21; Acts 5:32; Matthew 7:21; Hebrews 5:9; Acts 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9

We believe that God is good and that our relationship with Him is based upon our obligation to follow His will. Our existence depends on Him.

The Son

John 1:1-3; Matthew 16:16

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

The Holy Spirit

Acts 2:1-4

We believe that when Jesus ascended into heaven that he gave us his Spirit in order to guide us, convict us, and comfort us until the day he returns for us.

Salvation

Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16-18; Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Peter 3:21; Acts 22:16; Colossians 2:11-12; Mark 16:16

We believe that it is God's will that all people should repent and submit to Him through Jesus Christ and that our souls are saved through: faith in Jesus Christ, repentance of our sins, confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and baptism (immersion) for the forgiveness of sins. This opens the gift that only Jesus could give through his death on the cross.

The Church

Matthew 5:16; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:25

We believe that once we enter into salvation, we are motivated to be committed to the cause of Christ by: assembling in worship, allowing the light of Christ to shine in us so that we may share the Gospel of Christ with others as we go and by living our lives in accordance with God's will as found in the Bible - His Word.
